General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance

Updated:

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) aims to strengthen data privacy and data protection for European Union(EU) citizens and must be followed by all companies that have customers from the EU.

Is DMARCLY GDPR compliant?

Yes. DMARCLY is GDPR compliant.

Information we hold

We store three types of data:

  • Each user's first and last names, and email;
  • DMARC aggregate reports data. Defined in RFC 7489.
  • DMARC failure reports data. Defined in RFC 7489.

Data security and data breaches

DMARCLY takes reasonable steps to protect information collected through our service from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We constantly monitor for security flaws and unauthorized access and we will take action immediately if something suspicious is been detected. In an unlikely case of a data breach, we will notify all of our customers within 72 hours after the breach was detected. Some of the preventive measures we take include:

  • encrypted HTTPS communication layers for all data transfers;
  • powerful firewalls to prevent and mitigate different types of attacks and data leaks;
  • multiple protected backups at database and disk levels.

Data subject rights

The following rights regarding GDPR will be enforced by the DMARCLY team.

  • Right To Be Informed: for the parties where we act as a controller, we inform our users what we do with their data;
  • Right To Access: we can show all data stored for any tenant, and how it is being used;
  • Right To Be Forgotten: we can erase data we hold for any tenant;
  • Right To Data Portability: we can export data held for any tenant as a CSV;
  • Right To Rectification: a tenant's data can be updated from the tenant's account.
